REQUIREMENTS OF ENTRY:
You must be a New Zealand resident aged 18 years or over and living in New Zealand to participate in the PlaceMakers “Punt for Prizes” Promotion. (Promotion)
Registration and participation is free. No qualifying purchase is required and there is no requirement to be a PlaceMakers Trade or DIY Customer or hold a PlaceMakers Know How Card. Suppliers associated with this Promotion are eligible to register and enter this promotion.
Employees of the Promoter, their agencies associated with this Promotion and their immediate families are eligible to enter and participate in the competition throughout the Promotional Period. They are also eligible to feature in the Leader Scoreboards but are ineligible for any Weekly Winners, Branch Winners or National Winners prize or prizes with the exception of the Sign Up Incentive Prize. Employees of the Promoter, their agencies associated with this Promotion and their immediate families are only permitted to win Sign Up Incentive Prizes as detailed in Appendix A.
The Promotion opens on Tuesday 30th January 2018 at 11:00AM and follows the 2018 Super Rugby Season fixture dates which begins for New Zealand on Sunday 18 February 2018 NZT at 02:00AM and closes at kick off of the Final and last Round on on Saturday 4 August 2018 NZT (Promotional Period). No entries will be accepted outside of these dates.
In these Terms & Conditions of Entry, unless the contrary intention appears, the following words and phrases have the meanings set out opposite them:
“App”: The Punt For Prizes digital app which allows Participants to place their weekly Punts. This App is available in the Apple Store or Google Play.
“Branch”: The PlaceMakers store. You will be required to select your closest PlaceMakers Branch when you register for Punt For Prizes, this is also where your prize will be sent.
“Branch Winner(s)”: The eligible Participant(s) with the highest total score for their local PlaceMakers Branch as selected when they registered.
“General/ General Punter”: Refering to an eligible Participant who has registered for the Promotion.
“Groups”: The ability to set up Groups and invite Participants to join your Group to play against your Group members.. Prizes will not be allocated for Groups. Groups top overall score(s) will only feature on the Groups Scoreboard. The Promoter reserves the right to request Group name changes if a Group name is deemed offensive.
"Match": A single game between Investec Super Rugby teams, as outlined in the 2018 season schedule available at http://www.superxv.com/fixtures/
“National Winner(s)”: The eligible Participant(s) with the highest total score nationwide.
“Points” means the amount that a Participant receives for correctly tipping a Win or Draw result for each Match. Amounts are outlined below:
5 points for each correct WIN result
25 points for a correct DRAW result
2 points if you share your Punts for the current Round to Facebook (must share before your first Punted Match kicks off) For Participants who do not have a Facebook account will be awarded 2 points for the current Round if they invite a friend to Sign Up to the Promotion via an email invitation that will be available to send via the website. The invitation must be sent within the current Round dates as per the Super Rugby Season Fixture dates.
"Official Results": Are the results or outcomes of Matches as officially determined in accordance with the SANZAR Super Rugby rules 2018 version excluding Matches that go to tie breaker play.
"Participant": A person who has successfully registered in the Promotion by logging into the Website and or App with their email (username) and password and places a Punt.
“Prize”: The allocated item as per the Prize Schedule in Appendix A the Participant has won. Winners will be contacted with instructions on how to redeem their Prize from their local PlaceMakers Branch.
"Promotion": Means the PlaceMakers “Punt for Prizes” Investec Super Rugby tipping competition for the 2018 season of Matches or Rounds of Matches in the Season. Matches available on the Website whereby winning entries are based on the Results of Matches (for this tipping promotion) at the conclusion of the relevant Round or Season, as the case may be.
“Punt/s”: Selections you choose, for each Match within each Investec Super Rugby Round (WIN or DRAW) in order to score points.
“Registration”: The choice when signing up for Punt For Prizes to participate as a General/Trade/Trade PAC/Staff or Supplier Participant.
"Result": The allocation of Points to a Participant for the correct selection of a Match outcome after regulation full time. Tie breaker extra time or sudden death matches in "The Finals" Rounds have no bearing on the Punt For Prizes result.
"Round": The series of Matches as outlined in the 2018 Investec Super Rugby Draw. Each “Round” conducted during that Investec Super Rugby Season is made available for Punting as outlined on the Website.
“Season”: All games that fall within, and the duration of the 2018 Investec Super Rugby Competition.
“Score”: The cumulative amount of points that a Participant receives from every Super Rugby game.
“Staff”: Current employees and contractors of PlaceMakers
“Supplier”: PlaceMakers partners and sponsors associated with PlaceMakers who are supporting this Promotion.
“Team”: The New Zealand SuperRugby Region the Participant supports and has allocated as their Team when Registered for Punt For Prizes.
“Trade”: Anyone who is in a building industry related company or has their own building industry related company, be in an apprenticeship programme or have a trade qualification.
“Trade PlaceMakers Apprentice Programme (PAC)”: A Trade apprentice who is registered in PlaceMakers own apprentiship programme PAC.
"Website": The promotion website at http://www.Puntforprizes.co.nz
“Weekly Winner(s)”: The eligible Participant or Participants with the top score(s) on a national or Regional basis for each Round.
“Unclaimed Prize”: A prize that has not been claimed at the local PlaceMakers Branch. Winners have 3 months to claim a prize before the prize is then forfeited.
To register as a Punter (Participant) and set up an online user profile in order to participate and claim prizes, must be completed via:
a)Visiting www.Puntforprizes.co.nz (promotion Website). All compulsory fields must be completed in full. And/Or
b)Download the PlaceMakers Punt For Prizes Promotion App for free via the iTunes Appstore for apple iPhone or Google Play Store for Android. All compulsory fields must be completed in full.
Registration is limited to one (1) online user account per person only. Multiple registrations by the same person will result in all accounts being disabled by the Promoter.
Registration is open throughout the duration of the Promotional Period and will close before Match kick off on 04/08/2018 to allow entries in the last Match of the Super Rugby Season Fixture. See clauses below for specific details on the Pre-Season Sign Up Incentive.
The Promoter however reserves the right not to accept registration for any Participant if the registration contains anything slanderous, defamatory, is otherwise unsightly or in the Promoter’s view, inappropriate in any way, as determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
PRE- SEASON SIGN UP INCENTIVES:
Sign Up and App Download Prizes can be won by all Participants including PlaceMakers staff, suppliers, their agencies and immediate family members until the prize allocations have been exhausted.
Pre-Season Sign Up Incentive
The Pre-Season Sign Up Incentive competition opens 11:00AM (NZT), Tuesday 30th January 2018 and closes when all available prizes have been exhausted.
There are 7500 Sign Up Incentive Prizes to be won. The first seven thousand five hundred (7500) to register or re-activate for the 2018 Promotion during the Pre-Season Sign Up phase will receive either one (1) Phone stick on wallet or one (1) T-shirt (“Sign Up Prizes”). Sign Up Prizes have been allocated across the five Super Rugby Team Regions. (See Appendix A for the prize schedule and number of available prizes).
Sign Up Prizes are official PlaceMakers Super Rugby merchandise and branded with the NZ Super Rugby Team for the Team region in which each Participant has elected when registered. Prizes are non-transferable not redeemable for cash and not able to be swapped for competing team merchandise. All users will be advised by confirmation email if they have won an early Sign Up Prize and will receive instructions on the time frame within which they must claim their prize from their local PlaceMakers Branch. Unclaimed Sign Up Prizes will be forfeited. Participants do not have to have placed their Round 1or 2 Punts to qualify for the Prize.
Punt For Prizes 2018 App Download Prizes
The Punt For Prizes App Download competition opens 11:00AM (NZT), Tuesday 30 January 2018 and closes when all available prizes have been exhausted. The Punt for Prizes App is available via iTunes Appstore and Google Play. It is outside the promoters control if a participant does not have a phone compatible with either store to download. The promoter bares no liability.
The first two thousand five hundred (2500) to download the Punt For Prizes App for the 2018 Promotion will receive one (1) Rugby Ball. (See Appendix A the prize schedule and number of available prizes).
The App Download Prize is an official PlaceMakers Super Rugby merchandise and branded with the NZ Super Rugby Team for the Team region in which each Participant has elected when registered. Prizes are non-transferable nor redeemable for cash nor able to be swapped for competing team merchandise. All users will be advised by confirmation email if they have won a Prize and will receive instructions on the time frame within which they must claim their prize from their local PlaceMakers Branch. ENTRY + PUNTING
To enter the Promotion and qualify for Weekly Prizes and the Grand Prize, a Participant must:
Points will be allocated for each correct Win result and Draw result for each Match. Points will also be allocated for each Round if a participant shares their selection to Facebook prior to that Rounds first Match kick off. For points allocation and rules see the ‘Definitions’ section.
Participants will be able to change or edit any Punt made up until Match kick off. Punts CANNOT be changed or edited for any Match if the Match has already started. There will be no allowances made by the Promoter for any wrong or mistaken Punt(s) placed.
Participants will be permitted to make their selection Punts for up to two (2) consecutive Rounds at any time.
In the event of a Match in a given Round being cancelled, abandoned, not completed or not played for any reason and/or an Official Result is not declared within three (3) days of the date the Match was originally scheduled to be played, it is treated as a win for both teams competing in that Match for the purposes of calculating each Participant’s Score. If a Draw was selected, it will be treated as a five (5) point win.
If a Participant does not submit Punts for a given Match in a Round, a default Score will NOT be allocated. If no Punts are made for a given Match(es) the Participants point score(s) for that Match will be Zero (0).
If there are no Punts received for a Round at all in a Region or less Punts than there are prizes available to be won, then The Promoter reserves the right to include left over prizes in future Rounds or withdraw them from the prize pool all together.
Should a Participant enter the Promotion after the commencement of the Season then that Participant can only score points for the Rounds in which they participate.
The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to verify the identity of the Participant.
The Participant's participation in the Promotion can be withdrawn due to conduct deemed to be unacceptable by the Promoter at any time during and after the Promotion. This includes any registration that the Promoter reasonably suspects has been created using a computerised scripting tool or if the individual is found to have registered more than once as a Participant.
Entry into Promotion is deemed to constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions of Entry. All Information and instructions on how to enter, scoring and prizes as posted on the Website and all other promotional collateral, forms part of these Terms & Conditions of Entry.
Entries and Participants not complying with these Terms & Conditions of Entry are ineligible and the Promoter reserves its absolute right to disqualify any Participant from the Promotion if any entries do not comply with these Terms & Conditions of Entry.
The Promotion Period comprises 22 Rounds of Punting between 1 and 9 Matches per Round, the qualifiers, semi-finals and finals of the 2018 Super Rugby season. Matches include all Super Rugby games.
Two (2) Rounds of Weekly Matches will be available on the Website at any period of time during the Promotion Period for entry into the following two (2) weeks Matches. For more information on Super Rugby visit www.superrugby.co.nz
The Investec Super Rugby schedule and individual Match conditions, durations, dates and venues may be subject to change. Any changes made to the schedule or to a Promotional Match are outside the Promoter’s control. Participants will be solely responsible for ensuring that they keep up to date with all such changes. The Promoter will not be liable to any person as a result of any such change including any game cancellations.
Prizes will be awarded based on a Participant(s) top score(s) received during the Promotional Period.
There will be prizes allocated for the following:
a) Weekly Winner(s):
Weekly prizes will be awarded to eligible participant(s) with the top score(s) by Region for each Round. Refer to the weekly prize schedule in Appendix A. Should two (2) or more Participants have identical points totals at the conclusion of the Round the Promoter will conduct a random draw to determine the overall weekly prize winners.
b) Branch Winner(s):
Participant with the highest total score for their local PlaceMakers Branch as selected when they registered. There will be, one per PlaceMakers store. The winners will win one (1) certificate and prize pack containing a Super Rugby Franchise Jersey, Rugby Ball , T-Shirt and Mobile Phone Wallet Valued at over $200.00
c) National Winner:
Participant with the highest total score Nationally will win one (1)Super Rugby Money Cant Buy Experience in the 2019 Super Rugby Season for 2 adults consisting of a hosted franchise experience to a NZ Derby game and one night’s accommodation.(Price value TBC) This prize also includes a certificate and a prize pack containing a Signed Rugby Franchise Jersey, Rugby ball, T-shirt and Phone Wallet to the value of over $200.00. Should two (2) or more Participants have identical points totals at the conclusion of the Promotion, the Promoter will conduct a random draw to determine the overall National Winner.
d) Grand Prize:
There will be one (1) Grand Prize Draw conducted. The draw is open for all Participants who have participated in the Promotion and scored points. The Grand Prize Draw will take place at 10:00am on Tuesday 7/8/2018. Eligible Participants will receive one (1) entry into the Grand Prize draw for every point they have won through Punting. For the purpose of avoiding confusion, every Eligible Participant(s) will receive entries equivalent to their total score e.g. A Participant with a total final score of 500 points will receive 500 entries in the draw; a Participant with 625 Points, 625 entries and so on. The eligible Participant whose name is drawn first will be declared the Grand Prize Winner.
Reserve entries may be drawn and recorded in order in case an invalid or ineligible entrant is drawn, or the prize is unclaimed.
The Grand Prize is a tailored package trip for two adults 18years plus to One Of The Great Rugby Playing Nations of their choice. The prize is valued at up to $20,000 NZD.
The distribution of Prizes is subject to these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to change or amend prizes at any time.
The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of identity and proof of residency from any Participant and/or prize winner. Proof of identity includes but is not limited to a valid driver’s licence, passport, proof of address and/or bank account details.
All prize winners will be notified by either email, telephone, in writing or a combination of these. Winners names will also be published on the Website.
It is the prize winner’s responsibility to ensure that the correct name, phone number, email address and other requested details are provided to the Promoter upon Registration.
Prizes will be available for collection by the winner from their nearest PlaceMakers store. In the event that a prize winning Participant is unable to accept their prize for whatever reason, or the prize is unable to be allocated, within three (3) months of the results being determined, the Participant will forfeit the prize and have no claim or right to the prize.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any prizes that do not reach their intended destination, nor for prizes that can’t be fulfilled because of reasons outside the Promoter’s control.
In the event of a dispute the Promoter’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
Any cost associated with accessing the Website is the Participant's responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
By entering this Competition all entrants:
a) assign to the Promoter all rights including present and future copyright in their entry and the publicity materials containing their name and/or image in all media (including, without limitation, the internet, public broadcasting at match fixtures) and whether in existence now or created in the future;
b) agree not to assert any moral rights in respect of their entry and the publicity materials (wherever and whenever such rights are recognised) against the Promoter, its assigns licensees and successors in title;
c) undertake to the Promoter that their entry is not in breach of any third party intellectual property rights.
The Promoter reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions of the Promotion without prior notice and at its discretion extend, postpone or discontinue the Promotion at any time or disqualify any Participant who has breached these terms and conditions.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, Below the Line Limited, Supplier Partners (including their officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence) for any damage, loss (including loss of opportunity) or injury whatsoever incurred by any Participant (including but not limited to any direct, indirect or consequential loss) arising in any way out of the Promotion including but not limited to, loss arising out of any technical difficulties, equipment malfunction, communications line failures, computer viruses and bugs. All prizes are taken entirely at the prize winner’s own risk. Prize winners indemnify the Promoter against any liability for accident or loss of life, personal injury, property damage, tax liability or other loss, variation in the value of any prize, cost or expense arising in connection with the prize or arising out of any prize winner’s breach of these Terms and Conditions.
All entries and details become the property of the Promoter. All personal information will be collected and stored by the Promoter and Below the Line Limited in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. Participants in the Promotion agree that the Promoter may retain their personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. A request to access, update or to remove any information should be directed to the Promoter at the address set out below. A Participant has the right to access his/her personal information and request correction of any errors in it pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993. By entering the Promotion, each Participant is taken to consent to the Promoter and its marketing agencies using the Participant’s personal information to administer the Promotion (where applicable) and disclosing the Participant’s personal information to organisations and third parties that assist the Promoter with administering the Promotion and the Prize Draws as required by law.

The Promotion Period is from 0900hrs on Saturday 24th February to the end of the 2018 Super Rugby Season, 2200hrs Sunday 5th August 2018. No entries will be generated outside of these dates.
ELIGIBLE PROMOTIONAL MATCHES:
Eligible Promotional Matches are matches held within the 2018 Super Rugby competition, as listed below that contain at least one New Zealand Super Rugby Franchise (Highlanders, Crusaders, Hurricanes, Chiefs and Blues). The Super Rugby schedule and individual Match conditions, durations, dates and venues may be subject to change. Any changes made to the schedule or to a Match are outside the Promoter’s control. HOW THE PARTICPANT IS CHOSEN:
MAKING A WINNING KICK:
The participant will be given the chance to make the “Punt for Prizes” on the playing field during a designated time within an Eligible Promotional Match.
The first kick will be taken from the designated mark - 10 metres from directly in front of the goal posts) at either end of an Eligible Stadium. If the participant achieves a winning kick the participant must choose to either kick again from the next designated mark (which increase in 10 metre increments) or walk away.
The contestant will be asked by the on-field MC if they choose to “kick again” or “walk away”. By saying “kick again”, the contestant has forfeited any prize to that point. If they choose “kick again” the contestant will move to the next designated mark to attempt a winning kick.
The distance and prizes are as set out below:
If the participant fails to choose within a reasonable time after being asked (approximately 30 seconds, but as determined by the Promotor), they will be deemed to have chosen “walk away”.
If the participant chooses “kick again” but fails to attempt a ‘Winning Kick’ within a reasonable time after making that choice (approximately 60 seconds, but as determined by the Promotor), they will be deemed to have chosen “walk away”.
If the participant fails to make a ‘Winning Kick’ or the contestant chooses or is deemed to have chosen “walk away” the ‘Punt for Prizes – Kick for $20k’ Competition ends and the participant will leave the playing field.

A Winning Kick must:
Participant(s) shall not be permitted any practice attempts, second chances, or warm-up kicks from each designated mark/distance.
The kick(s) must be captured on video in their entirety (i.e. all attempts made by the Participant) as arranged by the Promotor. The video recording must show all the kick(s) made by the participant, and must show that the attempt(s) was taken from the minimum distance, 40m. The video must also show the full flight of the ball to the target, and until it comes to rest. The kick(s) will then be reviewed and judged by the Promoter & Loss Adjustor to be eligible or not. The Promoter’s / Loss Adjustor’s decision is final. Any kick(s) not captured on a camera and therefore not able to be reviewed by the Promoter/Loss Adjustor will not be an eligible kick.
At any time if the participant misses their kick they will still walk away with a $250 PlaceMakers voucher.
Prior to receiving the prize, the participant may be required to verify their eligibility to confirm they meet the Terms and Conditions of Entry.
